Tara’s Fascial Alignment Methodology:
Deep specialized fascia based manipulation consisting of an amalgam of modalities that allows the body to heal from alignment. Fascial Alignment is done through an Eastern approach to fascial mapping of the body that peels back decades of old compensation patterns and poor postures that have led areas of the body to hold (often inexplicable) chronic pain and tension.
We have years of postures from experiences, basic growing and our everyday activities. After old injuries, wear and tear, surgeries and pregnancy, the body creates compensation patterns to keep up with us and allow us to do the things that we love regardless of how we feel.
Pain is when we run out of compensation patterns.

Fascial Alignment is the Holistic Body.
Faces and squares hips and pelvis vertical/forward to promote effortless great posture for sitting, running and walking. Helps alignment, corrects leg stride and for properly metered footsteps (heel-arch-toe). Sets back shoulders, neck comes out of chest, resets the neuromuscular system, full lymphatic drainage .
•Drastically straightens, opens and realigns the body, decompressing the arms, legs and torso and ‘adds length’ to your height.
What does my posture have to do with my pain/tension?
• 'Twisted', anteriorly or posteriorly tilted pelvis.
• Tension in quads, hips, pecs, psoas and hips.
• Misaligned stance or uneven posture (one side working harder than the other during walking or standing.)
• Tiredness during/after walking as a result of over using energy (one or both legs feel heavy) while lifting feet.
• Abdominals functioning poorly.
• Postpartum diastasis recti
What are some results/benefits of the treatments?
1. Restrengthens forgotten muscles during walking, improves balance and weight transfer. .
2. Squares hips that are anteriorly or posteriorly tilted or feeling 'twisted' and uneven.
3. Helps align feet while walking to lift effortlessly and step, less thumping/stomping.
4. Opens chest/pecs and decreases pain and tension in upper back.
5. Postural correction to set pelvis below ribcage giving a 'straighter' and more 'upright' position for the body to function.
Some more examples for application:
1. Frozen/'stuck' areas, knots and unexplainable pains
2. Muscle cramps/spasms, nerve impingements
3. Poor digestive functioning
4. Lack of sleep from body’s discomfort
5. Tinnitus and TMJ syndromes
How will my body change?
• You will be able to BREATHE.
• Promotes postural correction of shoulders, sets them 'back' to prevent further 'slouching'. Chest lifts.
• Frees up stuck scapulas. Increases shoulder ROM, eliminated impingements.
• Reduces wide spread or specific pain in shoulders, neck and upper back area, more mobility and blood flow.
• Helps reset natural 'arm swing' during walking, helping to meter steps, stride changes, hips swing; further promoting blood flow and circulation to abdominals.
• Foot placement changes, improving center of gravity.
• Releases neck, unwinds tension in arms and hands.
• Realigns jaw; improving blood and lymph flow in the cavities of the ear nose throat and eyes.
How can daily activities connect to pain/tension?
We are shaped by our activities:
1. Chronic tension or cramping from 'computer' arms/hands and neck.
2. Chronic pain in forearms and hands neck or shoulders.
3. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Cubital syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Golfer's Elbow, Tennis Elbow and Frozen shoulder.
4. Postural correction for shoulders and neck and arms.
5. Slouched or rolled shoulders and overly tightened pec/chest.
*Results are based on existing conditions. Clients experience a remarkable change from the first session and are encouraged to use the stretch techniques provided for the best lasting results and even after the physical syndrome has been reversed (if applicable).*
